BoxerWithout competition, you can’t really say you have become a boxer. You have to test all the knowledge and skills you have gained through your previous amateur training. One effective way to do this is by competing with other amateur boxers. While you may not be paid for these competitions, they might help you to gain experience, enhance your status and create a following.

Professional Level

You can advance to this level if you feel you are ready. However, it can only happen after you have passed through a significant number of competitions. In addition, you must get a license from your state’s athletic commission before you can fight as a professional. You will be evaluated and you must pass the evaluation before you will be given the certificate. Therefore, make sure you are mentally sound, be of good character and reputation, be skilled in the profession, and are not addicted to drug or alcohol.
